News Flash (Clarence the cockroach) 2nd July 2007
Clarence is dead! Between 11:00pm yesterday and 11:27pm tonight, Clarence has kicked the bucket. Last night he was on his back but, however, was still responsive (eg; he would move when I tapped the container). It’s really weird how insects always die on their backs. It’s like they are waving a white flag to any predators which might stumble across this fine cuisine dish. Wait a minute! Clarence could be tricking me! Nah, we have been like friends over these past few months together, and friends never do such things as that! Why did I even think of that?
So yes, finalising, Clarence has lived a full 47 days (~1128 hours) in my discovery tube without food (apart from some dead insect which I had caught earlier) and living on recycled air.
On another note, there has been a rat spotted around my house. Dad has setup this cool rat trap thing - it’s this really sticky piece of paper. We put a sausage onto it, and this morning a bird came and got itself stuck on it. So we ate it. Just jokes. My dad got some petrol and set it a-light. Just jokes. My dad put some petrol on the bird to remove the adhesiveness of the sticky mat. So I guess you’ve figured what my next how-long-can-this-insect-or-animal-stay-alive-for-with-no-food-or-water-or-air experiment is! Well it will be, once I catch it. Hmm, now to dispose of Clarence…

Oh look at you, you lucky person; no one has left their mark yet - You can be the first!
